This is my first blog and I am creating this blog because I want to improve my writing skills. I have also been told by General Managers of MLB teams to use this as a platform to write scouting reports and analyze why deals are being done like the Dodgers t.v. deal.
My prediction for the homerun derby is that Alvarez will win.
I want to talk about the NL West and how I see that division panning out.
1. Diamondbacks
2. Dodgers
3. Rockies
4. Giants
5. Padres
I believe that defense wins championships and the Diamondbacks have the best starters and relief pitching with a solid offense. The Dodgers did make a splash by adding Nolasco. If their offense stays consistent like it has the past two weeks then they will win the division. The Rockies are not there yet as they have no pitching. The Giants could make a run but their pitching is not helping them. The Padres did look like they would come away with the division until they caught a losing streak and they have a tough schedule in the second half.
